Two applications to set up Analog Computer using operational amplifiers have been shown here using Simscape 2.1 version. The applications solve

i) Simultaneous Equations X+Y=2; 2X+Y=2.5 and
ii) Differential Equation m(d^2x/dt^2)+b(dx/dt)+kx=F(t) with inputs m=2; b=0.7; k=1 and F(t)=0.5.

The results are being displayed in scopes.

It is useful to have a counter which can count in an upward sequence as well as in a downward sequence. Here is a Three-Flip-Flop Up-Down Counter which has this provision designed using J-K Flip-Flops available in Simulink.

Because we use the decimal number system so much, we often prefer to have a Decade Counter instead of a Binary Counter. Using 4 J-K Flip Flops and skipping six of its possible output states, simulation of Decade Counter is carried out with...

Four J-K Flip Flops available in Simulink Extras are connected in cascade to form a Four-bit Binary Counter also known as Mod-16 Counter. This circuit output gives one pulse for application of 16 input triggers applied as clock pulses. This...

Simulation of Absolute-Value Output Circuit is carried out with operational amplifier, diodes and other components available in Simscape 2.1 version. Regardless of the polarity of the input signal, the output of the circuit is always positive going...
