| ASTA VoIP is the first of a series of collaborative products coming from the ASTA Technology Group. Other products available include ASTA MCU (Multipoint Control Unit) Voip Components for Voip Conferencing and SkyWire Video, SkyWire Meeting and Video Conferencing. SkyWire VoIP uses the H323 protocol, implemented in the AstaVoip.dll which will be installed in your windows system directory and must be in your path. ASTA VoIP, supporting H323, uses UDP for the communication protocol and H323 requires that two ports must be opened (port 1720 and 4408). SkyWire VoIP supports hardware or software gateways and supports such features as forwarding, which we have tested on Cisco and Quantum gateways as well as software gateways.
