re Recognition AG recently released Kadmos 4.0, an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) engine that provides machine and handprint recognition for desktop, handheld and server applications. In version 4, Kadmos utilizes a new feature extraction method, which provides a higher quality of recognition, support for the Cyrillic alphabet and for Arabic-Indian numbers, as well as a special 'fast' classifier set for embedded or time-critical applications. Kadmos 4.0 is available for Windows, Windows CE, Linux and AIX operating systems. APIs (Application Programming Interface) are provided for C, C++, Visual Basic and Borland Delphi environments.
