This is a cross-browser JavaScript function to get an element by it's ID. The script helps in generating an object reference to an HTML element. The script has two versions- one for the New age browsers version and the other for the older browsers. New age browsers are browsers compatible with Netscape/Mozilla 5+ and Internet Explorer 4+. Older browsers add to the compatibility Netscape 4. In the new age browsers the function allows you to write one set of code to access the properties of either browser. The script is a freeware and is compatible with JavaScript platform. | | Back |
