How to secure the use of *.OCX and *.DLLs? Every bad installation programm override, without asking and/or backup, this kind of files in the Windows and the Windows system directory. Now we make a copy of the original attribytes in a textfile and save this. When there are problems we take this saved file and compare this with the directory as it is now. Then it is easy to find the changes who are made by other programs and can if nessecary restore the original file.As private user you can before installation save your directories to a other location and save the attribs of the directory. If you then have problems after installation a new programm you can one by one restore the replaced files and look if the problems are solved.Also available for NT on request.
