Drupal Commerce 7.x-1.1 Description
Description: Drupal Commerce is a professional e-commerce solution for Drupal 7 and beyond. The core modules are lean and mean, enforcing strict development standards, a hard separation of underlying APIs from the default UI, code comments and documentation, and full test coverage.

Core features like Products and Orders take full advantage of D7's core Entity and Field systems. The modules leverage the popular Views and Rules modules to provide easily customizable user interfaces and order workflow automation.

Sponsored by Commerce Guys.
Installation

To install the Commerce modules, you need to have the following dependencies:

* Address Field
* Entity API
* Rules
* Views

As of alpha2, the Commerce modules have been tested to run on Drupal 7.0-beta1. Users testing on Drupal 7 HEAD may run into issues, as we only try to keep up with point releases.

There is currently only an outline of user documentation, so your best bet is to watch the video presentation from DrupalCon Copenhagen to see how things are configured. We have an outline prepared that will make its way to the documentation pages in fuller form as soon as possible.
How can you help?

We love to get global feedback on feature proposals that get posted to blogs and the forums.

* Review and comment on the UI mock-ups
* Check on other issues needing review
* Tackle an issue needing attention (see also the "low-hanging fruit" issues)
* Contact us to get plugged in

Development Demonstration

Drupal Commerce was presented most recently at DrupalCon Copenhagen along with a fresh demo site using the Corolla theme and some fake swag products. Development is ongoing now with the conference over, with implementing the front end of the checkout form at the top of the to-do list. Pending upload to archive.org, video from the session may be available for you to view.
Development Roadmap

At each development sprint, we project a development roadmap for the weeks to come. We try to target DrupalCamps and DrupalCons as milestones to have the best opportunity to share the latest work with the community. Our current roadmap covers July / August 2010, including Payment, Shipping, and Tax development leading up to a beta to coincide with DrupalCon Copenhagen.
Development Process

Development planning and discussion is centralized through the project home page and the IRC channel #drupalcommerce. We've adopted the following informal cycle to foster communication and collaboration between contributors:

1. Localized discussion about upcoming development in sprints / IRC
2. Global discussion in the forums for community review and feedback
3. Move specified features into the issue tracker here on d.o
4. Develop, test, document, and commit!

Where is the code?

We're currently maintaining a master GitHub repository for the project from which commits will regularly be pushed into the CVS here on d.o. The 7.x-1.x-dev branch will always mirror the master Git repository, but you can always retrieve experimental code through GitHub to develop along with others. Patches are still accepted and encouraged based off of the code in CVS.

Dates on the project page indicating development activity are misleading, as the daily work of the module takes place on GitHub. For more information, read our GitHub tutorial.
