Ethereal Realms, is a concept chat server based on WBS and IFC which utilizes Perl and MySQL. It emulates what WBS had (Streaming, Framed and Basic chat) while mostly removing the need for Javascript and Cookies. Here the users called Puppeteers (users) can register themselves and create/delete/play Puppets (characters/avatars) in the chat rooms. Ethereal Realms remembers your settings for each individual Puppet (Character/Avatar/Handle) that you hold. This is a site that allows for interaction between the people, who visit its realms and for those that are permanent members. This brings realms aimed exclusivly at role-playing, while other chat rooms aim to bring together a community of like-minded people.
