Getstockquote is an entrenched Perl script that is most useful for anyone that doesn't want to write Perl CGI scripts or is just too lazy to bother. Thus if you want to get different stock data in many places all from one source, then getstockquote will probably save you some time. It gets its data from: Australian quotes from ASX, Europe quotes, Fidelity Investments Quotes, T. Rowe Price, NYSE quotes, Vanguard Group, and Annuities from TIAA-CREF. However one future use of it is to have a page that gives many very terse quotes, each of which are linked to more detailed single quote info. |
