This function will return a list containing the indices needed to reach an item in embedded sequences.

So deepindex([[1,2],[3,[4,[5,6]]],7,[8,9]],6) will return [1,1,1,1].

Calculate the linear indices for neighboring points in a matrix. You need to supply one or more linear indices for the point(s) of origin and the dimensions of the matrix. You will get a list will linear indices to all neighboring points. The...

Developed the function after being unable to find a post providing an efficient version of RANDPERM function.

What if you had a list like this: [1, -10, [1,2,[3,4]], xrange(200)], and you just wanted to go through each element in order (wanted it to return a simple list of [1,-10,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4...199])

I've seen a couple of attempts to flatten...

This module/function lets you find a 2 dimensional list of indices for elements you are looking for in a super list.
Example:

find([1,1,1,2,1,2,3,3],[1,2,3])

returns: [[0, 1, 2, 4], [3, 5], [6, 7]]

Using lexical order on the set {1, 2, ..., N}, outputs the next permutation of the ordered tuple x. You have exhausted the list when All(nextperm(x,N) == x) is TRUE.

For example
nextperm([1 5 4], 5) returns [2 1 3]
